Columbia Basin College 2017

Haven't seen anything recent for CBC so starting a new thread. Trying to get an idea of what score is needed to get into the Nurse program? If anyone is in program now or applying would love to chat.

Just took the teas test the other day and scored 82.7%. Finishing up my prerequisites this quarter and hoping to apply to the program by the March 1st deadline.

Anyone out there applying as well or have an idea of what would be a good score this year? Thanks!

Hi guys! I'm looking to apply to CBC for 2018. Just curious as to what everyones TEAS score was. I'm currently studying for it and looking to take the test towards the end of summer. Also, any tips would be great!!

Kelsey,

I took the TEAS twice. First time I got a 74 and 2nd time I got an 82.7. I recommend buying the practice tests and study guide on the ATI website. I would also recommend taking the actual test twice if you can afford it. The second time I was more comfortable with format and scored much higher. You can also search on quizlet for practice questions. Try to aim overall for an index of 26 to have a good shot at getting in. 26 was my goal, but I ended up just short of that. Happy to say I did get in for the September class, so very excited! Good luck to you!

Hi Aheffro! I just heard back from the CBC Foundation about the scholarship on Monday. I received a letter in the mail saying I was selected as a recipient for the scholarship.

Hi Kelsey! I took the TEAS twice. The first time around I didn't do so well (it was around 70) and I didn't get accepted. Next time I studied on the ATI website and on quizlet and got a 82.7 and got in for this Sept. Like Aheffro said aim for an index score of 26. Good Luck!

Thanks curly girl nurse I got my letter too! Just working on the thank you letter now....

Has anyone received the ExamSoft email from Kim? It's in the student email (mine was in the junk folder). Has anyone signed up?

I just checked my junk mail and found the email. I have not purchased it yet or taken the test. Looks like we need to take the test prior to our first day of class.

Hey everyone, I ran across this post while looking for information on CBC's nursing program. I'm a transfer student coming into winter quarter. I have my A&P1 and 2 left and TEAS test before I can apply. So since Im a transfer student and not yet a student at CBC I will have to wait 1 week after the current students register for A&P1 do you all think I might still have a chance? From your experience did it feel up really fast? I will be up early so I can register asap the day I can. Also, I wont be applying until 2019. I did read through all your previous posts and understand I need an index score of at least 26. Did you guys get the extra 2 pts. for taking the CNA program did pts come form gpa and teas scores? Any other helpful information you think might be helpful please feel free to add. Currently Im studying for A&P while I wait to get in. Oh, and I like how you guys mentioned to take the teas test twice! thanks

Just wondering if you ever made it in to the program last fall and what your index score was Dvaldez93? Thank you for your help.

I am applying this year to start in Fall of 2018. My index score is currently right at 26 points but I am re taking my TEAS before I apply to hopefully boost it a little more. Were any of you accepted last year?

Let us know if you get in Taylor33

Hi Taylor33. Did you retake your TEAS? I just got back from taking mine and scored well. I was happy. Now my index score sits at 26.675, so I am hopeful. I tend to be pessimistic at times and pray for everyone to not have 4.0 grades. I am not from here so I never went to Tri-Tech and did my CNA and surg tech out of state so I lose out on those 2 points. I hope that it goes well for you.
