I haven’t seen a post for 2020 yet so I started one so everyone has a place to post their index scores and later on if they were accepted or waitlisted. Happy posting ?

I went looking on the website for more answers and this was posted! It doesn't say anything about lower amount of students being accepted so that's good.

Admission Update from the CBC Nursing Department
Admission decisions for the Fall 2020 cohort will be delayed this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. CBC Student Records staff are working diligently to process applications remotely while we are under the state Stay Home, Stay Healthy order. We hope to be able to review completed applications by mid-May and have decisions made by the end of May. This year we will be sending out decisions by email first and also by the United States Parcel Service. If there is any change to the expected date of decisions, we will post updated information here on the Nursing webpage. Thank you for your patience and stay well!

I haven't heard anything regarding less student acceptance. Hopefully that doesn't change, it's already so competitive to get in. Thanks for that info!

Hey! First year here! We ARE out of clinical this Spring but we are making up those clinical days in the fall at the hospital. We will be doubling up our clinical days in fall quarter and will be caught up by Winter. The incoming class will not begin hospital rotations until next Winter (your fall clinicals will be in LTC), and therefore, will NOT be affected by our schedule. I can't imagine them accepting less students but at this point, it's been an adjustment and everything is in the air. Good luck ya'll!!

My index score is 26.7, I am hoping I made the cut! Does anyone know when we should be expecting letters? I hope the email comes sooner than May 31, I am so anxious!

The home page just says that we will receive emails first and then letters and that they are hoping for the end of May... the waiting is torture

I called yesterday and the woman who answered said we should recieve the emails by Friday (5/29) the very latest.... 1 more week!!

Hey guys!
Index score of 26.65 here! I am so nervous. Let’s hope we get the emails tomorrow. Has anyone looked on the schedule for fall quarter. I think it might be on there. Just pretend like you are going to register for nursing classes. However I’m sure that will change. Anybody going to work and do nursing school?

Obviously with covid everything has changed. Not sure what fall looks like as far as in class vs online. But, as far as schedule, if we're back in classes, expect Monday through Thursday, 8 or 9ish to 2 or 3ish. Some day were earlier for exams, some days went clear to 4 sometimes. Fridays were exam days if there was any school, but often got the day off. It's possible to work while in the program. We have many that do. But hours of availability are limited.
