  1. Rebecca emailed me back and said the cut off this year is 34.8. Much higher than the last couple years.
  2. I didn't get in either! my score is 33.7
  3. hoping to get an email today! Looks like CBC sent out emails yesterday so im keeping my fingers crossed we find out before the weekend. Good luck everyone
  4. Is everyone getting letters or email? I haven't received either yet
  5. my hope is that they send the letters Monday and we find out by Wednesday. Crossing fingers.
  6. I'm sure everyone here received the same email from Rebecca Manderscheid about the notifications being sent via email this year and not until the end of the month. At least that gives us a little heads up. Trying to patiently wait, hoping for early next week ?
  7. I don’t think they send letters out until the end of the month per the website. Hoping for maybe next week
  8. I went looking on the website for more answers and this was posted! It doesn't say anything about lower amount of students being accepted so that's good. Admission Update from the CBC Nursing Department Admission decisions for the Fall 2020 cohort will be delayed this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. CBC Student Records staff are working diligently to process applications remotely while we are under the state Stay Home, Stay Healthy order. We hope to be able to review completed applications by mid-May and have decisions made by the end of May. This year we will be sending out decisions by email first and also by the United States Parcel Service. If there is any change to the expected date of decisions, we will post updated information here on the Nursing webpage. Thank you for your patience and stay well!
  9. I was just wondering if anyone has talked to anyone from the CBC nursing program regarding this fall? I heard from a 2nd year student that since the coronavirus hit this year that the first year student we not able to finish their clinicals and that they have to do them this fall. Which means they might not accept as many students. Plus it will be online teaching. Has anyone heard this? I'm hoping its just a false rumor but it has me worried LOL.
  10. I've been wondering if the Covid will cause any problems with the admission process next month. Has anyone heard anything? I had a friend say she is no longer going to apply to the nursing program because of the virus. She said she doesnt have it in her to be a nurse if this happens again in the future. I've heard several people say this scares them off from being a nurse. Anyone else feeling like this? Just curious
  11. Hi all I'm applying to Walla Walla and CBC. My index score is 33.7. Hoping it's enough to get in this year. My score last year was 31.7 and I was pulled off the waitlist for Clarkston but did not have enough notice to go (they only gave me 2 weeks). I re-did a class and bumped my score up this year so I'm hoping its high enough to get in on the first round! Good luck all
  12. I have also applied to CBC and i will mail off my application to Walla Walla this coming week. My first choice will be CBC because i live in the Tri-cities but i will be happy with Walla Walla if i got in there instead. Good luck to you
  13. Hi everyone, I also applied to the program this year. My friend who is a first year nursing student at CBC told me the program is accepting 65 students this year!! He also told me last year was the highest index score they have ever had and that their class raised the index score 1.6 points more than normal. He said he was told this year SHOULD be much lower than last year. I guess we will have no way of knowing until we get our letters. Good luck to everyone ?
  14. Has anyone got an email yet? I thought the letters would be emailed today
  15. With WSU they go off your experience/volunteer hours and your interview. I have several co-workers who got in the program with a lower gpa than other's who had a high gpa that didn't get in. I would just apply and see what happens. I applied at WSU Tri-cities (spring 2019) and only have a 3.3 - 3.5 range but i'm very hopefully that my many years as and ER tech will help.
