Columbia Basin College Nursing 2020

I haven’t seen a post for 2020 yet so I started one so everyone has a place to post their index scores and later on if they were accepted or waitlisted. Happy posting ?

I was just working on my application and noticed that it asks for your grades in regards to the prerequisites completed.

Did you guys use the student self assessment calculator with the grades per CBC campus policy below:

The cumulative GPA (from a total possible cumulative score of 4.0) will be multiplied by a factor of 2.5 for 10 total possible points.

Letter grades (including those received from transferring colleges or universities) will be assigned the following decimal scores according to our campus policy:
A = 4.0, A- = 3.7, B+ = 3.3, B = 3.0, B- + 2.7, C+ = 2.3, C = 2.0, C- + 1.7, D+ =1.3, D= 1.0, D- = 0.7

...or did you input the actual GPA scores you got for each course?

I put the actual GPA for each individual class as it is listed on my transcript.

WOW! that's a lot! I wish they would expand on the number that they accept ?

I heard that they could not expand due to a lack of clinical spaces.

Are you a transfer student? I thought the directions said only transfer students put the course numbers and GPAs in those sections. Just checking because I'm a CBC student and I only checked the boxes for class completion!

This is so nerve wrecking and I can’t wait to find out either. It’s seems so far that those that have applied have a high index score. Hopefully I can make it.

I was just wondering if anyone has talked to anyone from the CBC nursing program regarding this fall? I heard from a 2nd year student that since the coronavirus hit this year that the first year student we not able to finish their clinicals and that they have to do them this fall. Which means they might not accept as many students. Plus it will be online teaching. Has anyone heard this? I'm hoping its just a false rumor but it has me worried LOL.
