CU versus Regis (accelerated programs)

U.S.A. Colorado

Published

Hello All,

I'm wondering if anyone out there can provide some advice regarding the Regis accelerated program versus the CU accelerated program? I was accepted to both and am trying to decide on which one to do. I know that Regis is shorter (12 months) compared to CU's (17 months). I have two kiddos (ages 2 and 4) and am leaning towards the CU program as I think it might be a little more doable; but, I'm curious if anyone has any strong feelings on this topic. Any advice is welcomed.

Thanks so much!

CU's accelerated program, at 17 months, is really no faster than Regis's traditional program at 20 months (with 5.5 months off during the program) which might have more flexibility and reasonable hours if you have child care issues. Usually you'll only have obligations 5 days a week (ranging from 3-6).

Regis's excellent accelerated program is extremely intense and will have you busy for 6 to 7 days a week.

Hi,

I, too, have been blessed with being accepted to both Regis' and CU's accelerated programs and also have 2 younger kids, ages 8 and 4.

I already accepted Regis and was recently offered a spot at CU so now I have to make a decision. I was thinking CU, being 6 months longer, might be a tad less stressful/time consuming and be easier on my family.

Summit, you mentioned Regis' program will keep one busy 6-7 days a week. That scares me a little since I do have 2 kids. Are you in the program? Would you be so kind as to share a little about your experiences?

Also, do you know how intense CU's accelerated program is? Thanks :)

HUGE congratulations to you!

I am not but I suggest that you contact One1 as she is in the program and has a kid and is enjoying it.
