Im interested in taking some science classes with CCCONLINE, can someone tell me the exact steps I have to take in order to take the class for this spring?

You need to register with one of the 'home' colleges. If you go onto the ccconline.org page, under About Us, you will see Home Colleges. If you then click on the Home Colleges Table, you will see the list of all the colleges that are part of ccconline. If you live in Colorado, you can also register at a home college by walking in and registering in person. You will have to take the placement test and all that jazz. I don't know how they do it if you live out of state, you should call them.

You will do all your ccconline business through your home college; pay your tuition and get your transcripts from them. The only thing ccconline does is do the teaching. Just make sure, when you register for the classes through your home college, you are taking C11 or C21, those are the ccconline codes.

Hope that helps.

BTW, when you take sciences online, you will have to order your own labpaq. The bookstore will give you not only the book list, but also the labpaq number that you need.

Great, thank you. I did already register with Pueblo college as my home college. I do have a question though, if I took an intro bio class for my lpn/lvn would they take that for a prereq for microbiology?

Also, for the "LABPAQ" if I purchase it may I use it for other courses that require lab?

You'll have to ask the school about what they'll accept. In my experience an intro class usually doesn't count and you'll have to take the full class. As for the lab paq there is a good chance you'll be able to use it for other classes, but it depends on the class.

Well if they dont accept my bio then I will go ahead and take Human Anatomy/phys 1 w lab first. Someone on this forum stated they accepted that as a prereq for micro.

Every LABPAQ is tailored to the class. You will be able to use the pipets, test tubes and non consumables over again, but they have specific consumable supplies that are required for each specific course. For example, in micro you will get a bunch of agar to grow cultures. However, you won't be using that in any other class. And, AP has a bunch of dissection samples for you that won't be included in micro.

Since you said you won't be registering until spring you will have plenty of time to get your classes all straightened and know exactly what order they will be in.
