I have a degree in Biology and was working as a research technician at Baylor College of Medicine, but I just moved out to Colorado in August. I'm trying to get a job doing research here, but no luck yet. What about you?
After reading previous forums about UC's nursing program it seems like it's pretty competitive so I'm nervous now!
Hey everyone,
November 15th is a Saturday and I think I read that interviews are held Nov. 17th.
Second, can anyone speak to my situation:
I have my bachelors degree and am in the motions of completing the following classes on a Term schedule (quarters instead of semesters). Because of this Term system, A&P is 3 classes instead of the traditional 2 if in a Semester schedule.
Fall: AP2 (now) - Ends before Xmas
Winter: AP3 and Micro. - Ends in March.
Spring: Nothing left to do.
If I were to take Micro in the Spring, I would finish in the middle of June whereas the program at UC Denver starts around June 2. So, since that isn't feasible I have to get permission to take AP3 and Micro together which will end in March. Giving me plenty of time to prepare for moving to CO.
So, the "Applicants with a Bachelors Degree" section of the following URL says that I can't do this. Does anyone know the rules on this if the only two courses I need before the program starts are AP3 and Micro?
Hey teatime88, if I were you I would contact them and explain your situation. Since they are quarters and not semesters you might be ok.
Arielmhod, I have applied for a few Professional Research Assistant positions at Anschutz, but haven't gotten a hit yet. Fingers crossed I will soon! Is that where you currently work? My experience is in hematology and oncology research.
Yea, I'm confident that I am eligible. I mean geez, I drove from Oregon to visit with a recruiter for the program and after an hour of all sorts of ground cover, she gave me the green light.
Anyway, now that I've submitted, I want to ask how each of you approached the definition of diversity in the third prompt?

Hey everyone,
I just submitted my application to the traditional BSN program at UC Denver and I thought it might be useful to get a thread going. I am super nervous and excited about the process! How are others feeling?
