Collin College Nursing Fall 2021

Hello! I know I am super early, but just trying to be proactive. I am planning on applying to the Fall 2021 ADN program at Collin. I currently have a B in A and P 1 and 2 and will be finishing Micro in the Spring semester. Does anyone know someone who has gotten in with B's in the science pre-reqs and a higher TEAS score? I'm taking the TEAS in 2 weeks and if I need to plan to take it again before submitting my final application in May. Any insight would be helpful ?

I'm not sure about the petite sizing. But I went to the Mckinney bookstore to try on some sample sizes. I usually wear a small in all of my clothes, but an XS in these scrubs fit like a small normally does for me. I would suggest sizing down by one size to an XXS. And the XS pants fit around the waist but were too long (I'm 5'1"). I went ahead and ordered a petite XS for the pants hoping they would be shorter. I hope this helps!

Good idea! I’ll probably try them tomorrow after the orientation (if the store is still open, LOL) and then order. Thank you!

they have samples you can try on @ the collin bookstore in Mckinney that are identical to the ones we purchase

Another question- I didn’t see anything- but is there a dress code for the orientation?

I may have to get another TDAP. I’ve put in multiple requests for my records but the hospital was an on post hospital and so, I highly doubt I’ll ever get it.

I have to get my MMR and my hep b again. My titers came back non-positive.

I will only have 2 of 3 of Hep B when we start so I hope that is okay.  I swear on the application it said we just needed to start them, but on the collin website it says they need to be completed

Hey guys! For everyone who was at orientation, I heard one person ask whether or not we were allowed to wear jogger scrubs for our lab days. Unfortunately I didn’t hear (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) response to this. Did anyone else hear what she said? Thanks!
