Collin College - Fall 2024

Published

Hey everyone I haven't seen a forum for this one yet and decided to create one.

@LolaJohn the policy recently changed within the last month, so it appears that the website has not been updated to reflect the new change and honestly 20 hours is just 2 shifts. I prefer doing 3 12s instead of an 8 to 5 Monday- Friday now that I have gotten used to 3 shifts a week (12 hours per shift).

Hello,

Is there anyway I can be removed from this chat.

There is an option towards the bottom of the email it sends to unfollow.

Did you get it?

Get what? Get in? No but I was accepted into a BSN program😁

Specializes in pre-nursing.

This will be my last question: Is GPA not considered at all for getting into this program? If so, would a 3.75 GPA be competitive at all? ...Sorry for asking questions so late LOL

What are your grades like and what's your point

I haven't finished all my pre-reqs yet, but I expect to graduate with a 4.0 science GPA. I did pretty bad in English and an elective (which was so much harder than I was expecting it to be 🥲) so that's why my GPA dropped. Depending on what I get on the TEAS, maybe 23-25 points. If you got in, how many points did you get?

Overall GPA is irrelevant. They care about AP 1&2, Micro, and your TEAS score. The website for the program explains the points, but an A = 5, B = 4, C = 3, retaking one subtracts 1, finishing all 3 prerequisites gives you an extra point, and 10% of your TEAS score is points. Also one extra if you're a veteran. Max is 27. This cohort the cutoff seemed to be around 22.

The other corequisites I think need to be a C or higher to graduate but they don't look at those for admittance into the program

I applied to this program too. I'm coming in with 23.4 points. I just submitted my application today. Super simple.

Please did you submit anything other than unofficial transcript and TEAS transcript
