Collin College Fall 2011 Start!

Hello everyone! I wanted to see if there is anyone else out there that received letters for Fall 2011 acceptance to Collin College.

I received mine today and am absolutely in la-la land!

Anyone else out there? What were your stats like?

Congrats to all who got acceptance and crossing my fingers for everyone else who hasn't heard anything as of yet!

The college is doing a new college Id right now. I think we get our nursing Id later.

Does anyone have the all day Wednesday clinicals?

what do you guys mean about new id? I know there is a new standard college id we have to get, but what about the nursing id? I thought there was one we get that says nursing on it?

I went and got my nursing ID the other day from Student Life, it says Nursing Student, and they give you the clip to attach it to your uniform. Just tell them you are an incoming nursing student for fall and they will set you up!:)

I had to go to advising to get my registration fixed. It took her about an hour but she did it while I sat there and then she went ahead and registered me for classes. Take your acceptance letter (even if you already put in the change of major form) and your sheet with your class numbers. Even though I had submitted a change of major forms weeks and weeks ago it had not been done.

I have four kids 15, 14, 11 and 7. I am looking forward to nursing school but with kind of a nervous anticipation. After all the horror stories that I have read/been told about how your life is not your own ect...

I completly agree on the nervous anticipation... I have been going through the Med Math book, and just trying to enjoy the summer.. yes I try not to listen to all the horror stories, but they get to me sometimes. I know that If I go in there expecting to work hard and be flexible, than it shouldnt be too hard of an adjustment! After all we will be nurses in the very near future!!

Got the syllabus! Printing it now, make sure you guys look through it because on the unit sections it says to print several copies of the different handouts. :uhoh3:

I got mine too...information overload!!
