Anyone else applying in 2019?
Thanks! Actually, I have 2 contingency plans lol If I do not get in for Spring 2019 I am going to re-apply for summer 2019 and submit the application with micro complete. My other plan is to take the TEAS this fall and apply for the 2019 Fall BSN program at TWU. I did my other degree at TWU (finance and accounting though) and will have all my prerequisites complete. Either way I am gonna graduate by end of 2020/spring 2021 with my BSN with either of the plans. Collin is just the way to get my RN license quickly. Grayson is too far north for me to consider driving to.
It looks like you have everything mapped out. I have a degree in Criminal Justice and it doesn't translate to anything in Nursing. My plan is to get my ADN first and then the RN-BSN program. I live in Allen so it doesn't take long to drive to Collin College. I also don't mind to drive to Grayson County. I just want to get into a program. Do you know the points system in Collin College?
I went to the information session and the nursing program recruiter told me that they don't do points system anymore. The selection is based on 3 different GPAs now.
1. They take GPA from your science classes (A&P1, A&P2, and Micro)
2. Your cumulative GPA (Composition I, General Psychology, Life-Span Growth and Development, and an elective class) if you have taken them.
3. Your PSB score.
However, I still don't fully understand how the school determine the PSB score because there are several catagories in the test. I remembered the nursing recruiter said that you need to score at least 40% on each category to be competitive.

Wow! Your PSB score and GPAs are impressive. I am taking the PSB again next week. I took A&P1 and Micro last semester. I will finish A&P2 next week. I think you will be okay. Maybe you can go to the Fall 2018 thread and ask the people in there to see if they have any information in your situation. Have you applied any other schools? I also applied for Grayson College.
