Hey Everyone!
This thread for potential 2019 applicants to voice concerns, bounce off ideas and basically share in the anxiety we all have.
I am new to science and nursing. This term I am taking Biol 1406 and English. Next term I intend to take Bio 2401 and Psych 2301 and the fall term will be Biol 2402 and Biol 2420.
I am supposed to take the PSB test soon after and then apply by end of January to start Summer of 2019.
A little bit about me: I am 38 years old, an ex-insurance agent, married and have a 3 year old toddler as well. We moved to Texas 2.5 yrs ago from Chicago (miss it) and this is home now. I literally woke up one day and knew nursing was it...I want this so badly. Being back in school after so long is kicking my ass man but I am secretly enjoying it too. Lots of people think I am nuts for being in college at the ripe old age of 38 but whateverrrrr.

They are affiliated with HCA and we have a two step program through Collin college. I believe it's slightly different but I'm not 100% sure.
Message me! I am in the same boat!

Hi! It won't let me message you because I'm still new. Have you heard anything? You can email me at [email protected] if you'd like! Email me anytime!
Hi everyone, congrats to those who got in and good luck to those who are in the process of applying. I am wanting to apply for Spring 2020. I just took my psb scores and I scored 80s and 90s on everything except for the Vocational Adjustment Index. This is my 3rd time taking it because I can’t score a 40 or above on the opinions piece. Any advice on how I should be approaching it. Other than that I have a 3.0 gpa for pre reqs, and a 3.75 gpa for cumulative. Is it still worth applying even though my one score on the psb is not a 40 or above while everything else is high???

You might as well as try bc you never know if your cohort will have similar scores like you do. As far as the Vocational, it is easy if you answer like you live in the “ideal”world as a good nurs (ex: never lie, it’s what you know not who you know, tell a manager if a coworker is not following rules, etc.
