  1. Hi Tina! Thanks for the reply! I did reach out to my site coordinator a few weeks ago and the only class I need to take is Micro which I'm taking this summer. And I'm taking the PSB sometime in June, I'm just waiting for Collin to put up the dates for June. I work at medical city McKinney. And trust me I know it's not going to be easy just because I'm an employee. I never would go into the nursing program thinking anything will be easy. It's seriously hard work.
  2. Hi! It won't let me message you because I'm still new. Have you heard anything? You can email me at [email protected] if you'd like! Email me anytime!
  3. Hi everyone! So I’m wondering how many students TWU accepts. Is it super competitive?
  4. Hi! I’m applying through HCA program for spring 2020 and I wanted to know if they’re competitive. How was your experience?
  5. Hi! I work for Medical City McKinney and I’m applying through the Texas two step program. Are they competitive? Will it be a little easier for us to get in? How did the process go. I’ve sat down with my site coordinator and he told me what I needed as far as scores and the classes.
  6. Yup you sure will! Any hospital that collaborates with a good nursing program and you go through them usually will pay for the nursing program as long as you work for them for a couple of years i.e. gives you a guaranteed job.
  7. That’s great! Do you know if UT has a nursing program they collaborate with. If they do then your chances are higher of getting into that particular nursing program vs coming from the outside. Plus, you’re gauranteed a job after you graduate I’m sure. That’s what attracted me to Collin College. Very cheap program, they pay for everything, plus a guaranteed job. As a new nurse we’re definitely going to need experience some kind of way.
  8. Oh no, I’m assuming they pay much better. I used to be a CNA for 6 years before I became a pharmacy tech so I know how it is lol. I started at Methodist Richardson but I came to medical city. It’s so much better for me here. I’m still at MRMC but only PRN.
  9. Lol yeah that was me that created that thread but I haven't heard back from anyone yet. I keep trying to search for one but I haven't found a thread on that yet.
  10. Hi everyone, I'm applying for Collin college spring 2020 through my job and I wanted to know if anyone has heard how competitive it is. They are affiliated with HCA and we have a two step program through Collin college. I believe it's slightly different but I'm not 100% sure.
  11. They should have another one for people that want to apply for spring of 2020. Keep checking the website.
  12. I would love to hear from collin county applicants/students as well.
  13. Thanks for the info guys! I actually decided to try collin college. I work for Medical City McKinney and they have a Texas two step program affiliated with Collin college and the class hours are very doable with my work schedule. I really like the program from what I’m hearing so far.
  14. Hi everyone, I'm a full time working single mom and I'm wondering if Brookhaven's nursing program will be doable. I work in a hospital and I'm curious to know what time the class hours are. My job is very supportive of me attending nursing school but I can't afford to miss too many hours during the week. I work the evening shift.
  15. Hi guys! I'm starting a new for students planning to apply for the ADN program with Collin College through HCA. I plan on applying for spring 2020 and I'm doing the two step program through HCA/MCH. Has anyone had any experience with them? How competitive is it compared to other students who are applying to Collin's ADN program? Also, is the PSB similar to taking the TEAS test? I've never taken the PSB but I've taken the TEAS and I didn't do so well. Any information will help.
