Hello Julie, Yes, she said I was the first one on the waitlist and that my score was 55. She mentioned there was a high chance of an opening coming available due to some getting accepted into other programs. I received acceptance into the ADN program so I will decline my waitlist spot so it can go to the next person.

I got accepted in ADN as well. Now my waitlisted spot can go to the next candidate.

Parvi The ADN waitlisted candidates will come from those who applied by the deadline for spring2022 cohort and were close to the cut off score. Given your stats I think you could’ve gotten in as well. Spring typically has fewer candidates than fall. This Spring was shocking, given the last few cohorts had a record of number of applicants. I think this gave a greater chance of acceptance to those scoring in the lower 80’s high 70’s, on the TEAS.

I got in as well! Congrats to everyone and don’t give up for those who didn’t.

I got waitlisted. It also mentioned this about the ADN selection…. We know that applicants are applying to many nursing programs simultaneously. The RN Program at Collin College will not select their January class until the middle of November. I expect that we may have openings for some waitlisted applicants at that time. Congrats Parvi you will do great! Fingers crossed for the other programs everyone applied to!

That’s a good point. I hope not, covid numbers are trending down, nurses are needed and so many students are qualified. Do you know what they cut the acceptance number down to for fall?

Possibly understaffed. No covid regulations with Collin college. I have a full in person class with no restrictions, including mask being optional.

Hopefully there is a decision soon. The next virtual ADN information session is Oct 26 at 3pm, if there are any additional questions. The last call was in Sept it was mentioned that there were about 300-350 applicants for 2022 Spring. I’m curious as to why this time around it’s taking about 2 months to be notified.

Your welcome Megan_,CNA. Given the fact that most have received emails with a notification date for the week of 10/15. If the date has changed I would think another email would go out. I wonder if I spoke to the correct person.

Hi Lauren43 I dropped mines off in person as well and received an email about a week later.

Yes, I received the same email but I inquired today and was told the 30th. It was a gentleman I spoke with.

Hello- Where on the website does it show Oct 15th. I have been hearing around October 30th. The last information session stated they received about 350 applications and was surprised that it was less than the 500-600 they seen in the previous few cohorts. Good luck everyone.
