I have a question regarding any colleges located in California that have a LVN-RN (or LVN-BSN) program that is online. I don't want to post this in the distance education forum because I'm specifically looking at California. I already know about ISU (partnered with Sonoma State) LVN-BSN. I'm looking for a program similar to that but one that is located in California, it can be a community college, state, or private institute. Does anybody know of such programs? I'm looking for something that allows you to do your theory classes online and your clinicals in a hospital near you. If the clinicals have to be in a specific hospital in a specific town, that would be alright too but I would need to know the exact days of the clinical rotations. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Western Governor's University (WGU) has an online program that is accepted in California.

When I lived in Califoria, Long Beach City College had a "1 + 1", program for LVNs to earn their RN within the
ADN program that they offered. At the time, computers were in their infancy, and the idea of on line classes had not occurred to anyone.
That being said, it is 25 years later, and I would bet that they have at least SOME classs on line. I would call/contact them and see what they have to offer. Hope that helps.

Thank you both for the tips. I already spoke with someone from Western Governors University awhile back. The clinical rotation would be in Southern California which is a ways from me, so that's definately something that I would have to think about. As I would have to commute to the area a few times a week. The tuition is reasonable though.
I will have to check out Long Beach City College to see what they have to offer. Hopefully it's something similar and I can do my clinical rotations in my aera.
Thank you both!
