Hi everyone! I wanted to start a thread for those applying to College of the Sequoias this Spring. I'm applying with 75 points. Post your points and how many years you've been applying to nursing school. This is my first year.

I will be applying with 77.5 points.
I bet you get in with 77 points!! Someone said 72 was the lowest last cohort.
When is your phlebotomy course? Will you still take it if you get into the ADN program?
I’m not fully getting my hopes up for this semester. The counselors made a comment that a bunch of people have been declining seats so people who weren’t even on the alternate list end up getting in.
My phlebotomy course is only 2 weeks for license and all. I will have it done in time for if I get in this semester or for the next application.

A 94.7 on TEAS?!! Amazing how old are you? I got a 91.3 and was 29 when I took the test. What was your score breakdown??

91.3 is awesome too! I'm actually 30. My breakdown was 97.9 for reading, 96.9 for math, 89.4 for science, and 100 for English. I knew I could've done better on science, but I'm happy! What was your breakdown?

Hope this helps!
Thank you so much! I assumed as much, but then I started second guessing myself. I appreciate it!
I just applied today, and they said as long as my packet is postmarked the 14th they’d accept my application (I’m not a last second person but CoS wasn’t even on my radar and I was suggested to look at it last minute and realized I can still do it last minute).
I have 66 points. According to the lady I talked to on the phone, it sounds like my score is not high enough. She said the lowest score was low 70s last year. This is my 4th attempt at applying to nursing school (Fresno City twice and Fresno State), 2nd year applying to nursing school
I have an 84 TEAS score, A in English, A&P1, micro and a B in A&P2, a BFA, with no volunteer, relevant certifications or speak another language, literally am losing out on like 15 points or something nuts because of those.
I also am applying to a school in Tennessee. They do things differently there, but it seems like my chances are high, basically due to the fact you can apply there straight out of high school, using ACT or SAT and hope it gives you enough points to get in. So the fact I have taken all the prerequisites (only A&P, micro and psychology) and an okay SAT score, I have a high chance.

The lowest last year was 72 points, so I'm sure you'll get in! ?
