Hello! Just wanted to start this thread to see if anyone else has applied to CNR's ABSN program for the Spring or Summer 2018 start!
Not sure if you guys did advising yet, but I reached out to the advisor for the program two weeks ago and I got to choose my schedule with her. If you want to get a head start you can reach out and make an appointment. It helps to get an idea of what your schedule will be like in the fall.
This website wont let me put her name, but you can email me and I can tell you: [email protected]
My schedule for fall is:
NUR101 - 5:30pm-6:20pm Thursday
NUR106 - 10:50am-1:10pm Wednesday
NUR200L - 1:50pm - 3:10pm Wednesday
NUR 217 - 1:00pm - 3:20pm Monday (Co-Op City Campus)
NUR218 - TBA
NUR222 - 12:00pm-2:20pm Friday
Yes. I tried asking if we can take more classes each semester to finish earlier, but they don't allow you to do that. I guess it is a rigid schedule. I was hoping there was an option for it to be shorter than 18 months :/
But there are good options for class availability. I got no info on clinicals though.
Hey everyone,
So I am looking to apply to CNR Accelerated program September 2019 (I still have prereqs I need to complete). Does anyone know if there is a expiration with the prerequisites at this school? I took General Psychology and Statistics almost 8-10 years ago. Also do you know if they will accept another class other than Developmental Psychology? I graduated with BA in Psychology but unfortunately never took that class. I still need to take chemistry (w/ lab), microbiology (w/lab), nutrition, and I guess developmental psych if it is absolutely necessary. Also how competitive is the school? What can I do to better my chances in getting accepted? Unfortunately I graduated with a 2.7 GPA but if I do well with all my prereqs, it will overshadow my gpa.

I Just did an info session a few days ago with CNR, if you have to work they recommend no more than 8 hrs a week. A friend of mine is working full time overnight and doing the individualized program (which I'm not sure is available anymore) and he said that it's brutal.
From the way they explained the program you would have to work either part-time (evening) or overnight if you need to work. I'm leaving my job as full time to per diem before my first semester starts.
