College of Marin Fall 2022

Hi!

I was wondering if anyone here applied to the College of Marin for fall 2022.

Hey guys, I received an email saying they hadn't made it to my number but to keep checking the website, and it would say what points they were at. I can't seem to find that anywhere. Does anyone know where that information would be at?  Thanks!

I received it too. I can’t seem to find it either. Did they calculate your points correctly? Because they miscalculated mine by a lot of points, so I emailed them about that.

It’s at the very end of the FAQ.  I got one email saying I had 78 points (correct) then another saying they had miscalculated and I had 77. I emailed them and they got back to me quickly said they had made a mistake and I did have 78.  It’s killing me that they are at 80 and I’m 78. Ugh!!  Hopefully they get back to you soon. How much did they miscalculate for you ?

Ahhh you’re so close. Hopefully you get in! I’m rooting for you! I emailed them around 4:30pm and they should be closed. So hopefully they get back to me tomorrow.

Oops I didn't see your last question. They calculated my score as 43/100, when I have a 72/100. It is a big difference. They got back to me today and told me to do a petition to appeal my points. It's such a hassle because I already did the petition of substitution. It is just so frustrating bc if I do all of this and don't get accepted, it will be all for nothing. And they aren't even picking up the phone. I'm feeling super discouraged.

Yes it’s all very anticlimactic. You frantically finish everything you need to and then have to wait. The waiting is so hard. That is a huge difference in points. I’m sorry they aren’t answering, that is frustrating.  I’m done w all my pre reqs so I’m going to study for 4-5 months then retake the TEAS, hopefully with a better score. I had 82 and I thought that would be enough but clearly it is not! Lmk how it goes if you want, I’m always happy to listen to venting!

The same thing happened with me. There was a huge difference between what I calculated and what they calculated. I don't know if it's because they had 400 applications and they were rushing, but I was told to do the petition request as well. I emailed and asked for a copy of the multi-criteria sheet for my application to make sure I didn't calculated it wrong. I thought they would send it, but didn't expect them to tell me to petition. It's very frustrating.

Did you do the petition? I don’t know how to fill it out. Tbh I don’t see how this petition has anything to do with the nursing application. I emailed them back stating how I don’t understand how this petition correlates to the nursing multi-criteria worksheet and the nursing applications in general, and how it doesn’t make sense for me to do extra work when they have all the information in our applications if they just look. And the person replied with “I don’t have an answer for you. Contact Enrollment Services.” So I called Enrollment Services and they didn’t even know  what the petitions are for? and told me to contact someone that handles parts of the nursing application. Still didn’t get back the email yet.

I would suggest , if you can, just going in person to the nursing department on campus and talk to someone face to face (I understand how frustrating it is because no one answers the phone or emails).

Hi you guys. I GOT IN!!!  I have 78 points and got the email about an hour ago.  The date with the current points in the FAQ is not updated, so I thought I would let you know!

I was thinking we could create a facebook group for your cohort! Let me know if you guys are interested!
