What Members Are Saying (AI-Generated Summary)

Members are discussing their application status and point system for admission to nursing programs at various colleges. Some are on waiting lists with scores in the 70s, while others have already been accepted into programs like SRJC. There is uncertainty about the waitlist process, concerns about incorrect scoring, and advice to remain patient and optimistic while waiting for updates.

Hi I applied to the COM nursing program right when they started accepting applications in November but I think they are still taking apps for the next couple of weeks. Making a discussion to see if theres anyone else out there who is trying to get in? Look forward to hearing from you guys!

I'm in the waiting list for College of Marin guys and I have 73 points 🙏🏻

Thanks Heather!! I appreciate it

Hi! Did they tell you what number your on the waitlist or whats the process once you are on the list? When did you get notified? Thank you for all your info. Im just nervous that I haven't heard anything at all. I think it's because im on the low 70s..

So if they didn't reach out about a waitlist, does that mean it's a rejection basically? Since it seems they don't send out rejection emails.

Hello CarlaKarinr,

Did they send you an email letting you know about your position in the waiting list? 🙂

Yeah I think what really brought down my score was the TEAS because I didn't do my best.. but luckily I got into SRJC. Goodluck everyone! Stay optimistic 🙂

Congratulations! 🎊

🥲 That is the same question that I have. In another forum the Director of the program mentioned that they will be sending an email with the scores in the following days to let us know. 🙏🏼

Was just a simple email that the admissions still ongoing and I'm waiting and I have 73 points.

From registration of the first class, it looks like 16 spots have been taken.  Definitely seems like they are still making their way down the list.

This is really good news to hear. Thank you for sharing. I checked with them a couple days ago and they said they were on students that have 84 points. I'm in the mid 70s, and I know they have a total of about 44 spots to fill. So considering they're still going down the list & each student has a week to respond, I'll keep praying a spot opens for me 🙏🏽

Specializes in SNA President at College of Marin.

Hi everyone, I'm the Student Nurse Association president at College of Marin's nursing program, and I want to congratulate the few who have gotten in so far! I wanted to let you guys know that it may be pretty discouraging not hearing anything back from the program, but hold on!

College of Marin has a lot of people who tend to fully accept the offer that they receive, but later drop out due to other schools coming out with acceptances. Unfortunately, there is no good way of regulating this, as most schools across the country face the same issue. I personally know a few people who got accepted mere days before the orientation started and are now doing amazing.

Please hold on and check your COM email every day for news.

My main pieces of advice are to enjoy your Summer while you can and be patient. Once you get in, things move fast! For those of you who are planning on attending, I am excited to meet you all at your orientation (NE95).

I will periodically be answering whatever questions I can on this thread.
