Hi, I’m applying for the fall at com and wanted to start a post for the upcoming applicants who are also applying. I been following all the other posts from semesters before which makes me pretty nervous about my chances of getting in. Good luck to everyone!

You can’t sign up for classes until after you complete the instructions that they will send us in that email, but don’t worry they should be sending it soon. Probably early next week.

Hey guys, has anyone heard back from the drug screening company via email or phone call about scheduling to take a test? I’ll have both my background checks completed by tomorrow but I haven’t heard anything from the drug test company. Not sure if COM is wanting us to have it scheduled by July 1st...

They just want us to pay for our drug test and background check by July 1st. The results aren't due until August 1st but they'll verify it themselves when they're available.

Okay thanks! So as long as I’ve paid for all 3 things am I able to send them the email so I can register for the nursing classes? Or do I have to wait until they receive my results to all 3?

Not sure. I believe you should be able to enroll. They did say that enrollment is open in a previous email. I can't because I have to get a second hep b series done and they won't let me until I get the 2 of the 3 shots. If everything else is fine, you should be able to enroll in classes.

My BON fingerprint is on Tuesday. Did they ask you to pay for it when you scheduled your appointment online or do you pay when you show up for the appointment?

I had to redo it to but I’ve only done the first shot, you have to get the 2nd one to be allowed to register?

Yes. Get your first 2 shots and then upload it into the portal. Once they verify it, they'll allow you to register if you have everything else complete. The 3rd shot has to be like 16 weeks after the 2nd shot.

Is everyone still waiting for the drug company to contact you to schedule a test? That’s the only thing I’m waiting on and they won’t let us register for classes until they have the results

I'm still waiting for them to contact me. I'm going to call if nobody contacts me at the end of the week.
