Hi, I’m applying for the fall at com and wanted to start a post for the upcoming applicants who are also applying. I been following all the other posts from semesters before which makes me pretty nervous about my chances of getting in. Good luck to everyone!

I called the Board of Nursing number they have on google it’s in Austin. The wait is long I was on hold for 30 min to ask a question that took 1 minute

Omg I’d be so upset! Did you get ahold of com? What did they say? I feel like they have to be able to do something to help you out. That’s not fair, that’s basically relying on the mail service to never make mistakes or lose people’s mail.

They said to wait the 30 days and request another one and because those 30 days will be over the deadline I have to email the school board of nursing and explain to them the situation and they should help me idk that’s what the person on the phone said hopefully it’s true

Hey for guys that have already taken y'all's drug screen how long did it take for someone too call you in regards to prescription related meds or for com to update your results in the portal?

I took it Thursday and still haven’t heard anything but I expected at least a week before they let us know anything

They never called me asking for prescription meds. The lady just asked if I was on any and I told her no. And I took mine on the 10th & they told me to give it a week for COM to get the results. If they don't have it by the end of Wednesday, I'll call on Thursday and check. I'm a little worried about my blue card though. Going to call the BON to see when it was sent in the mail.

I got my blue card in the mail saying I passed the BON background check but it still hasn’t updated on the portal saying COM received it. I took my drug test on Friday and not sure how long the results take to come in hoping it will be soon!

You have to scan both sides of your blue card and upload it. When you have everything done, you're supposed to email them to verify it like we did with our other documents.

I called Surscan and they said my results for the drug screen were sent to the school on July 13 which is the day after I took the test, so I guess the nursing dept is just behind on updating the portal.

Omg well I’m kinda worried now because it says on the email that we are not supposed to tell the person collecting our urine what prescription drugs we are on and that we are supposed to wait for someone from the drug company to call us to get proof of it comes up positive for something that can be prescribed. But I took mine on Thursday last week and no one has called me. I am prescribed adderal from my regular physician

At the top right corner of the attached form that we had to print out and take with us to the drug screen. It says a medical review officer will contact us for any RX drugs
