College of the Mainland ADN FALL 2019 program

Published

Hi, I’m applying for the fall at com and wanted to start a post for the upcoming applicants who are also applying. I been following all the other posts from semesters before which makes me pretty nervous about my chances of getting in. Good luck to everyone!

Are you sure they register us though? Because my assumption was that they would provide us access to register the classes on our own. So maybe try and log into your web advisor and see if it will allow you to register for the classes. I’m going to keep trying to get ahold of them today to see when we’ll be able to register.

“All Nursing students will have a Nursing hold on their account while in the program and will be registered for courses by the Nursing Department staff once the student has sent their registration request and there is nothing pending in their Nursing Portal.”

That is is from the instructions letter they first sent at the beginning of the summer so I assumed it to mean that they register us in the classes? And in the email they sent me on friday they said I was added to their registration list. I’m really not sure though let me know if you find anything out.

They won't even reply to the email I sent stating that I have everything uploaded and up to date lol. Hopefully they get back to me tomorrow before the weekend.

“Once the Nursing Department has registered you for your Fall classes, you will be able to view schedule and fees.

When the department registers you, we will send you a confirmation email.

-Nursing Department”

thats the response I received when I emailed them on Friday asking when we would know our schedule and how much the tuition for the semester would cost

Officially registered for classes. The only thing I don't like is that we won't know our clinical day until the 26th. Hopefully it's on a day that I am regularly off work because they do out schedules 2 weeks ahead. See you all during our orientation.

When did they register you? I still haven’t been registered I just emailed them again asking when I could expect to be.

Yesterday. I had everything submitted and up to date for about a week & I emailed them twice, so i called them instead of emailing again. They registered me that same day.

Does anyone know how much tuition will be? I haven’t been registered but I’ve already talked to the nursing department and they said I’m good with all the requirements except I needed to upload my second shot of Hep B.

Tuition depends on if you're in or outside their district. Total, I am in district and my total for this semester was about $730. That is also because I had already Lifespan in the Spring. I was actually surprised on how low it was compared to taking my pre-reqs at San Jac ?

Right! Lol I took my pre-reqs at San jac south and was surprised with the cost and thank you for the response

Does anyone remember exactly where the patches are supposed to be put? I thought I wrote it down at the orientation. THOUGHT ?

So I’m a little confused on when classes start, I checked my schedule and it says Wednesday is the first class because the other 2 just say TBA. Can anyone help me out with that info?

Someone can clarify this too because all I know we have the UTMB compliance training on Tuesday from 9 - 11:30 at Research Building #6 room 1.206.
