I have a previous BS degree so my overall is about 3.2 and my core nursing pre reqs are all A's and 1 B. CoC offers an information session that is really helpful. They take a % based on their points system and the remaining spots are filled by a lottery system.

I attended an info session and ur right its really helpful. In the session they told us that they accept 50 students per session...40 are "top 40" and 10 are random selection. They use ur core bio, core english, overall gpa, and TEAS to award you points :)

Nice!
Thank you for letting me know :)
@ Dspty4 So how bad is the TEAS? I am going to begin studying this weekend because the test at COC is April 17. I really want to be prepared and I already bought the ATI study manual and another study guide. I am just so nervous about it and everytime I think about it I get a mini panic attack
I think the Teas is not as hard as it seems :) if you prepare well you'll do fine. I used the ATI study guide and online practices(TEAS Practice Test - Free TEAS V Practice Questions).
I think science and math are the easiest subjects(they are pretty straight forward answers ). Reading is the one I think requires more time since most of it is comprehension(two answers can make sense and since it's timed I think thats whats tricky)
I went through the ati guide once then did the practice, whatever I got wrong I reviewed and did the practice all over again. I did the whole thing again 3 days before the actual test :)
Hope that helps!
Also, make sure you time yourself! So you have an idea of how fast you need to answer.
Thank You so much for your great advice! Really you are awesome sauce :) lol I can do this!!
How is the studying process coming along? There is so much material to get familiar with! Everyone turn in their applications? Good luck! Back to the manual
I haven't started I know shame on me!!
You still have over a month, you got this...there are some good tips on this site and some good videos on youtube. It is overwelming trying to relearn and review everything! I am surprised how much chemistry is covered! Is chem a pre-req for the core classes?? I took bio and chem so long ago I can't remember
Did everyone get their applications filed? Now the waiting game begins...tick tock tick tock.
