Hi again,

I would like to ask for some help in regards to the code of ethics

>autonomy

>Beneficence

>Non maleficence

>Justice

>Confidentiality

>Veracity

>Fidelity

>Guardianship of the environment and its resources

>Being professional

with this list of values for each one I need to discuss each one and place each one into a nursing context.

If any one can help it would be very much appreciated thanks:confused:

All of those terms were defined in my Fundamentals of nursing book.

Well autonomy for one is the ability to make your own nursing decisions based upon your nursing judgement. I mean to say when your caring for a patient and that patient has a reddend area on their bottom, you don't need a Dr's order to turn the patient . Another example might be deciding what types of dressings to use for a wet to dry. I hope this helped. You can find really great information on all of this stuff in you Fundamentals book.

Gook Luck!

Thanks but alas I do not have a fundamentals book in nursing and rely on the library hard copies.

Specializes in ER.

With autonomy comes accountability

...you can go online & either do a search on google.com or a number of search engines for nursing fundamental/ethics stuff or you can simply purchase a book at barnes & noble, amazon, or any online bookstore & have them send you the book. lastly, you can go to either your school's library or your neighborhood library & take out some nursing fundamental/ethics books. you could also go to your academic advisior/instructors & tell them that you would like to borrow one of their old editions...i'm sure that one of them would be willing to part with one.

you just can't come on a site like this & ask other people to do your homework assignments for you...it's unethical & reckless...you have to be able to cite your references in most of your written projects. so get used to doing your own research & come here to clairify a point or ask for additional links that you could use if you don't understand or not able to get enough material/sources, after you've exhusted all other avenues. if you go to the main page here, you'll find plenty of nursing links/sites to go to...if you're not sure, just pm brian & he'll direct you to the proper page.

i'm not trying to be smart or anything...i'm just trying to give you some advice...there's nothing like doing your own work...that's the only way you'll learn. there have been many of students that gotten blasted here for trying to get other folks to do their homework in the past...so be very careful what you ask for here when it comes to doing an assignment.

once you've established some friends here, why don't you pm them & have them go over your material privately. you could exchange e-mail addresses; upload & send your rough draft to them for a unbias review. because they don't know you personally, you would get a fair opinion of your work. when people see that you've made the effort, they won't mind helping you with your work.

good luck with your assignment - moe.

If you ever need my help please post to me directly. It would be my pleasure to help in any way possible. Sometimes we just need a place to start. Also please feel free to pm me. If I have the answers I will help.
