Pregnant or not, you both should take turns scrubbing and circulating. Talk to her about it. If she has a problem with that, talk to your coordinator. If its affecting your health get a Dr.'s note.

Thanks for the reply.I don't know what is wrong with her.She was fine with me,its started all of sudden.I will talk to the doctor and will go for maternity leave early.Huge belly and varicose veins bothering me too much

When a co-worker makes your day more difficult that just sucks! We are supposed to work together as a team and some people just aren't good team players. Unfortunately we cannot read peoples minds (probably a good thing for me some days, LOL) but I would just continue doing my job to the best of my ability and kill her with kindness. Good luck:)

She MAKES you scrub? How about a polite response such as this, "Since I scrubbed last time, it would only be fair for you to scrub this time."

Make sure that you say this with others around. It would make for a very uncomfortable refusal on her part.

And when you are circulating and your relief comes in to offer lunch, make sure that you approach the field when your counterpart can hear you, and say, "Since Sally is scrubbing and has been on her feet, it's only fair that she goes to lunch first."

You are gracefully making your point while others are a witness to your offering.

I did releived her @ 11 am when she was scrubbed in otherwise she will be mad .when she came back from lunch she wants me to get the next room ready ,then I had lunch at 1 pm.I don't like to hurt others, one day we 3 nurses was there in one room and I scrubbed all day ,she did not offered a break in the morning and the other nurse offered a break and she said I did not know that scrub nurses will get a break.I feel like to quit the job

Whether I like a person or not I always let the scrub pick what lunch they want to go to because we get breaks as circulators and they don't. I would pull her to the side and politely tell her your concerns. If that doesn't work, go to your nurse manager and discuss it with her. Good luck

Of course you don't like to hurt others! But you MUST be an advocate for yourself. At this point, what do you have to lose? You say that she's already mad at you. Appeasing her is just going to make you miserable.
