CNA training / health experience

Published

Did anyone do any CNA training or health experience for KCC's ADN program? I'm planning on doing some but I'm not sure where.

I worked as a vet tech for 2 years and Wes Maekawa from KCC's ADN program stated that was considered direct patient care.

Thanks swartie17,

so I've seen your post bout you getting into the kcc ADN program - congrats! (: may I ask what your stats was like?

Hi Bpacis. Thank you! I had a B or two and the rest A's for my prerequisites and corequisites. I got a 88.7% overall on the TEAS. And like I stated earlier I had 2 years experience as a vet tech.

Oh wow! That's great! If you don't mind me asking, where did you take pharm203 at? I'm trying to figure out where I want to take it bcuz KCC's offering only night classes.

I took it online via leeward community college. Super easy!

Really? You had to take biochem tho right?

Do u mean microbiology? Cause I took microbiology via leeward and it was another online class that was easy.

Who was your instructor? I need to take that too. But no, for pharm at lcc, the advisor told me that I need to complete biochem before I can get into that class.

I can't remember who my instructor for the online microbiology class was. I was able 2 get out of the biochem prerequisite for pharm because of the classes I took at western Washington university. I took the organic chem series and a few other ridiculously hard classes when I was a biochem major (which I changed and I needed up graduating with a BA in bio cultural anthropology/minor in chemistry).

Ended not needed.
