I am currently a pre-nursing student hoping to get into the program in the Winter 2009 or Fall 2009 semesters. I go to school in the tri cities area. I'm looking for a CNA program that is on the shorter side. I found one in the tri cities for 2 weeks during the day, but the first set of dates they offer begin during my finals and the second set end during my first week of class next semester. I will be in the Detroit area around the holidays and was wondering if anyone knew of any places that offer these shortened programs in the area. I would like to get certified and begin working, so when nursing clinicals and such come around I have some hands on experience. Thanks!
The one I took was with the RED Cross. It is 3 weeks during the day and 4 weeks for the evening class.
I did one at Hazy Institute in Oak Park. It was 2 weeks and cheaper than the red cross.
Is Hazy institute a good school to attend for CNA/Patient Care Tech training. This is a school that I have been contemplating on going to this fall, but I have not heard much about this school before and do not know if it's a good school or not. Also did the school help you all find jobs after you completed the program?
