CNA testing quick question...Help! :)

i am taking my cna certification test, and am confused on two skills.

when i was training, we would change positions with 2 people. for my test, i may have to perform a modified side-lying position with one assistant. so i'm confused where to stand when i want to roll them over. when i move them towards the edge of the bed (towards me), would i then walk to the other side to turn them onto their side, or would i stay on that side and roll them over? we were never shown this, and the book says something like rolling them away from you? and i always thought i would roll them towards me. i just don't want to be given this skill, and make a silly mistake.

also, when doing denture care, would i clean the dentures first before doing mouth care? my thomas prometric book, puts it into this order, but in my nurse assistant training book it starts from mouth care. i checked a website and it says first clean dentures and then proceed to mouth care.

these are the only two i am confused on.

i have never heard of an examiner caring which was done first. i had to do oral care and they did not care which i did first as long as i did both properly.

I had to do oral care too and they didn't care which I did first.

As far as rolling, I'm unsure of the 'book' way. When I do it, I roll them towards me as it hurts my back less, I'm facing them so there's no fear of them rolling out of bed, and it just works better. If you're facing their back and then roll them you could potentially roll them so much that they hit the rails or worse, fall out of bed.

Is there any way you can consult your instructor on this?

Good luck!
