CNA = Certified Nursing Assistant. In order to earn a cert, you have to take a test. Candidates have to take a written and practical.

I had to take a state test that was done by the Oregon State Board of Nursing
I meant take a written test at the hospital they want to work at along with an interview..not to get certified
Oh, that makes sense too. Facilities want to make sure there really is a brain sitting in that skull they're about to hire.
Found what I was looking for
WRITTEN EXAM: May include knowledge of nonprofessional nursing care and technique; medical terminology and metric measurements; hospital procedures, safety and infection control.

I had to take a written test. It included BP info, medical terms, general patient care questions. Very easy.:)
