I'm a nursing student out of school for the summer and thinking about getting a job as a CNA for 3 months only. Any reccomendations on a hospital here in Tulsa and should I tell them I only plan to work until mid August? I definately want to work on a med-surg unit since that is where I will be doing my clinical next semester.
Okay, so maybe nobody else is even reading this, but I'm posting it anyway! I have an interview next Tuesday for a CNA job at St J's. I just talked to the HR person there and she said right now it looks like the position will be in ICCU, which I think would be great experience and I would be able to see a lot of things. She wanted to interview me this week but the unit manager is on vacation, and I'll be out of town on Monday. I'm so excited!
Congratulations Lana. I will be applying starting 8/7 after I finish micro and a sociology class. ICCU sounds interesting to me.
Hey, you should come work with me! I know what you mean about waiting to apply. I finish chemistry tomorrow (thank goodness!) which is why I waited until last week to apply. Aren't you in Owasso? Do they have any openings in the new hospital there?

So I was wondering how long you think it usually takes to hear back from a job application? I applied at St J's on the 19th. They said I should hear something within 10 days, but I'm going crazy! CRAZY! Just call me already!!!! I went ahead and took their CNA test while I was there even though they said I didn't have to. It was easy but I missed 2 - but they said you could miss 15 and still pass. Please call me! Hire me! I need a job!
