CNA state test?

hello, I want to take the cna state test but i'm having trouble finding out who to contact to set it up. i had my cna license a few years ago but let it lapse when i had my daughter and stayed home with her. At that time i just got the information from the school i went to. I live in Florida and they give you the option to "challenge" the test without taking the class. So i'm having so much trouble trying to find out how and where to take the test. Anyone have any idea? Thank you in advance!:)

Maybe you could contact your state BON or the local college that offers CNA courses?

You might get better help if you posted this in the Florida Nurses forum.

"You can reach the registry at (850) 245-4567 or you may write to the Department of Health, Florida Nursing Assistant Registry at 4052 Bald Cypress Way, Bin #C13, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-3263."

One more thing, I would encourage you to read the cna book if you still have it and google "cna skills test" and practice a few tests, both written and skills. here's a good one: http://www.asisvcs.com/indhome_fs.asp?CPCat=0000NURSE

practice, practice, practice. it would also be to your benefit to ask the board of nursing (BON) to send you any information pertaining to the cna testing and certification. good luck!
