I am a new school nurse after 1 year of ER, 1 year of Cardiology Clinic, 6 months MedSurg, 3 mo Assisted living, 3 mo GeriPsych experience...in that order. I must say, the other jobs paid better but I have never been happier!!!
Now, my superintendent wants to implement a CNA training program that I would teach. I am looking for resources, ppts, etc.
thank you for the help!
Yes, school nurses ARE real nurses!!!

Ck with your Nursing Board, there are often requirements for instituting a program and you may need approval from them. They may have information for that requirments for your state.
Good Luck!

I am a HS nurse and teach Intro to Health Professions/Medical Terminology. Our school had a CNA program in previous years through our local community college. I am not able to teach it, however, because I do not have a year of experience in LTC. You do need to check with whichever institution you will be working with to see what qualifications you must have. I'm sure they are all different. At any rate, we just switched to the courses I teach now. Good luck!

I am qualified to teach the class at our local community college, however???I have considered Medical terminology as an alternative. What qualifications are needed to teach that program?
