Do I need a cover letter when applying for CNA jobs?

Hello, I am looking for advice. I am looking for a CNA/PCT job in my state. I have a updated resume however, do I need a cover letter to go with the resume? Is it necessary? Can anyone give me advice? It's been a long time since I have had to look for a job. Thanks!

I would put a cover letter. It sets you apart because most people don't include one. Anything you can do to set yourself apart is helpful.

The manager who hired me was impressed that I had put in a cover letter. I also wrote thank you letters to her and to the ADON, who had also taken a moment to talk with me. Courtesy never hurts. :)

I would put in a cover letter also if you can. I think it shows a lot of interest. :)
