:yeah:I just wanted to say, that I passed my tests on the 25th of Aug. Now the real hard part begins.....looking for employment. Here in Hernando county, employment is difficult to find. But I will eventually, find it. I have a question, I have been trying to see what my license # is. But there is no record of me having a license #. How long does it take to get my certificate, or a license #??? My friend says it takes about 2wks. It's only been a week. Any ideas???

Congrats CNA hopeful!! Now you can change your username! (as long as you still have that option and you haven't already changed it once this year :) haha) Here in Ohio it took about 1 week after I knew I passed (from seeing online) before it came in the mail. But, you should be able to check it on the state registry!

Usually you can find your certification # on your state's nurse aide registry. If you don't know the website, google should pull it up for you.
Mine was posted there within a day or two after I passed. Your cards will come in a couple of weeks.
When you start applying for jobs, you don't necessarily have to have that number. They will know where to find it and will need to know anyway. When your cards come, they will probably ask for copies.
Start applying now, don't wait. :)
Thanks for all your replies. I did find out what is going on with obtaining my license #. Due to having a "criminal history, no matter how old it is, the State has to file my license # , "exempt". Do not ask me what that really means. The operator that I spoke with said, that basically, when my license # does get posted online, whereever I seek employment, they're going to see my name, my license #, and a flag saying that I have a "criminal background". Which is kinda going to make things harder for me. I, myself, wanted to be upfront, about my criminal background, before anyone or anything else gives the heads up. I think now finding employment is going to be extremely difficult. Thank GOD, I have a copy of all my criminal history explanations, that I had to send to the State, prior to getting approved to take my test. By the way, the clinicals were not hard. However, I can not believe how nervous I was. I was shaking soo bad, that the tester asked me to sit down and breath in this paper bag. I was having an anxiety attack. I studied so hard, that I knew everything that I needed to. I had blood pressure (which I hated-I had to do it 3x's, before I heard anything), ambulating with a gait belt ( fairly simple), and foot care. I messed up on foot care....FOOT CARE, I can not believe it. I dunked the patients foot in the water, before asking her to check the temp. I took my gloves off, right after I dried her foot and before I lotioned it....Why? I have no clue.. Such a dumb mistake. And the tester claims I didn't wash my hands after the procedure. I did say that I should've washed my hands, as a correction, but I guess the tester didn't hear me. No matter, I passed. So, again, I have to wait another 2wks, for a license #. Thank goodness, I was blessed with having ALOT of patience!!!!!
