I did the CNA program at Healthcare Training Institue and we did clinicals at Regency Grande in Dover. I was in the process of moving to North Carolina to be closer to family and go to nursing school there, but the ecomony is not working out in my favor.
As far as my clinical experience, we were paired up with a CNA and completed the skills on our assignment sheets. Some of the skills we did were feeding, bed baths, showers, using the hoyer lift, toileting. I'm just giving you a summary. After that, we helped out where needed until it was time to go home. That being said, it was a really great experience. When do you start your clinicals?
Hi guys I was reading your posts because my girlfriend wants to become a CNA to start her nursing career, and of course I'm expected to pay for it. So help Save my Money please, how much does the CNA program cost and is it possible to be trained for free. help please
Hi Savemymoney!
I hope my response did not come too late. I paid $1028 for the course ($912 tuition and $116 for skill and written exam but like Starchild said some nursing homes that offer CNA training.

Hi Everyone!
Am planning on taking a CNA course at Best Care in East Orange but they do their clinicals at South Mountain Reservation. At the moment i dont drive and was wondering if anyone can share their experiences of doing the course without being able to drive. Does anyone know which buses go there? I read that the course takes 6 weeks (Aug 17 to Sept 26), is there a possibility that it might take longer than that? I plan on going for vacation on Sept 30.
I also have plan on joining the nursing program at Essex County College, does anyone know if they give nursing assistant certification? Are there hospitals that offer the class free of charge?
I will appreciate all advices that may be of help to me. :)
