Did anyone become a CNA while waiting a year for the RN program? I am considering it but not now , because I'm taking a break but probably during the Fall or Spring.

Most of the nursing schools that I was interested in wanted some type of experience, so I got my CNA license about a 8 months before I started applying to schools.

Hi there ? The school I am looking into doesn't require it but , there are students whom said it helps tremendously. May you tell me more about your experience in CNA school?

You should TOTALLY DO IT! I did it on a break and it re ignited my passion for nursing. It is a great experience for a future nursing student. Especially in the hospital. If you’re helpful to the nurses, some of them will show you or let you do things out of your scope since they know you’re pursuing nursing.

Some hospitals will train you on the job and don’t require the certification, check out the job descriptions to be sure.

Tysm ❤️ I currently am picking out some programs where I live! I wanted to ask about the skills test, as in was it really hard?
