Have any of you ever been denied or run into problems being placed into clinicals while in nursing school because of a spotty background check?

I'm in my final semester of nursing school. I received a DWI in December 2011 and I've not had any problems with clinicals.

Keep in mind that each clinical site has their own standards regarding students with criminal history, and depending on your offense(s), you may be turned away from performing clinicals at a certain site.
If you have any concerns about whether your criminal record may cause a problem with clinical placement, you should talk to someone in your nursing program ASAP so they can work with you.

I dont know anything about that clinical wise...but Ill tell you this, because I just got hired, when you start looking for a job and get hired...they will run a background check and believe me they will possibly see things you dont want them to...and you might either be questioned about it or automatically be denied the job.. But I wish you the best. Just try to talk to some one regarding that when you apply for boards too...... IT IS going to be a big deal :/// Good luck!!!
