I am currently enrolled in an RN to MSN/CNL program. It seems like there are many threads (which are closed topics now) that have been started about direct entry CNL programs.
I am looking to dialogue with peers who are already RN's and are either working on their CNL or have graduated.
I am curious to find out if you have found positions as a CNL in your facility or if you have found other avenues for advancement at another facility. If you are employed as a CNL in your current setting, who do you report to? (i.e. the director, or unit manager, etc). Do you observe less Clinical Nurse Educators in your hospital as a consequence of your position as compared to other area hospitals? What was the CNL exam like? Did you feel you were well prepared to sit for the exam? What would you have wanted to re-focus on if you were to go through the program again?

Just an update - Texas Health will be hiring 120 CNL’s for their hospital system. Each CNL will have a group of 12 to 15 patients as their cohort group.
