Clinical Documentation Specialist

HI All,

As fellow nurses and experienced nurses i need an advice for profession change form bedside to non bedside,i want to become a clinical documentation specialist ,what is the process ,how do i become one ,i have 15 years of bedside experience,i applied to CDS positions but no employer is calling me,please guide me in this,thanks.

I am a clinical documentation specialist.. ACDIS (the association for CDI) has a new apprentice program that's about $300. It's super new (like last month) and I have zero idea if it will work, but it's meant to give you a certificate you can show to employers to prove you have some knowledge. Maybe that will help?
