Right now it is very warm....The summers are humid and hot and winters are semi cold.

Hi there! I am a native Mississippian, and I agree with what the other poster said. It is VERY hot and humid in the summer and early fall (mid-80's to upper 90's), and somewhat cold during the winter (maybe mid-30's, hardly EVER freezes). Spring is short, but WONDERFUL, as is the end of October/early November. The worst thing is the humidity, by far. But thank goodness for air conditioning, and after a while you adjust! Hope this helps, and welcome to Mississippi!

thank you!!

Folks, lets be honest with these nurses from other countries. There are three seasons in "South Mississippi" HOT, HOTTER, and OH,MY GOSH, WHERE IS THE AIR CONDITIONER!

And make sure you get plenty of off as well. The skeeters can smell fresh meat a mile away and they will greet you at the state line :rotfl:

I agree with you about the skeeters and the air conditioner!!!!

Remember in the movie Biloxi Blues, they get off the bus for boot camp in Biloxi and someone says "It's like... Africa hot" well...they weren't kidding.

weather here is: hot, very hot, extremely hot... and essential clothing would be shorts, t-shirt, & flip-flops
