Cleveland Clinic Tuition Reimbursement

I received tuition reimbursement at Cleveland Clinic and the agreement is to pay it back if you leave and do not stay a year after receiving the reimbursement. How do they MAKE you pay it back if you leave before the year is up? I am just curious is all.

Like a credit card. They send collection letters and eventually dong your credit and sell the debt to a collection agency. It would also effectively blackball you from EVER working for them again. Incredibly dumb choice for most people.

They can garnish your last paycheck, take any PTO you are owed and turn you into a collection agency. CCF doesn't screw around when it comes to their money.
