Cleveland Clinic RN wage???

How much is the starting wage for an RN to work in Cleveland Clinic? How much for a fresh grad? and for the experienced RN?

I can't tell you for an experienced RN, but last year as a brand new grad I was offered $23/hour. I think it all depends there what unit you work in... ICU's get a little more an hour than non-ICU's. Night's get a shift differential and so does evenings.

Just curious; why on earth would you want to work at CC??? That place is the stank hole of the Cleveland hospital community: the poorest wages, the worst benefits, their infectious disease protocol and post-surgical bowel protocol.... er, what protocol?! They haven't one!!! ...and they have the cojones to make employees pay for parking? Ugh, CC's the pits. Go work for UH, down the road, or Lake Hosp.System. So much better if you really want good pay and a high standard of health care.

Does anyone else feel this way about working at CCF? I am starting soon and everyone I have talked to says it is a wonderful place to work. Most of the nurses I met during the interview have been there for 10+ years. Thanks for your opinions!

Stank hole? Nice.

FYI - Everyone around the Cleveland area pays for parking, at least if you work downtown. And UH, down the street from CCF, also charges employees for parking. The wages are not that bad - they are market wages for Cleveland. Benefits are fine-very comparable with area hospitals. Yes, it IS a big hospital, and needs more nurses (what hospital doesn't?) I have worked there for seven years, and I enjoy it. I know people who came from other hospitals, and also those from CCF who went elsewhere, and they all say the same thing: the work is the same as at other places. Too many patients, that are too sick, and not enough nurses. I think the variety of practice options at CCF is a strong point, as well as the wide variety of shifts. In the past seven years that I have worked there, I have seen many positive changes, and I think they willl only get better as they attempt to innovate more to recruit and retain quality nurses.
