Clayton State Nursing Program Spring 2012

Published

Hey! I am just starting this forum to see who else is applying for Clayon State's Spring 2012 BSN Program. I just applied and now the waiting begins..

I hope soo too!!! GSU is big but I really liked the school alot.. I am also getting adjusted to Clayton's campus (this is my first semester there also) so I hope I can stay there too!! Did you make a schedule up yet for next semester?

no not yet, not really sure how to be honest. My advisor told me not to worry about the schedule because they block the nursing classes. I want to call my advisor so bad but I am too scared. I dont want to spend my time reading into how she said this or how she said that you know. My biggest problem is passing Chem II. I am not doing good at all in that class. I am going to see my professor Friday morning to see what can be done. Are you good at Chem II? I need all the help I can get. My professor is wonderful but I am just not getting it. To be honest I need to give it more of my time.

Yeah I heard we will have a orientation like 1-2 weeks after letters go out to meet out professors and they will help us with our schedules and stuff. But I emailed my advisor this morning and that is how she told me the letters went out..I was so ready to ask her if she could tell me if i was in or not..but i was afraid she wouldn't tell me so i didnt ask! lol but I only took Chem I and it was sooo hard for me!! I had taken a Biology sequence so they accepted that in replacement of the chem. but I have a friend who is in Chem II at clayton now and she is doing really well so if you want I can ask her if she can help you!!

Thanks, that would be great. She might be in my class. I take Dr. Braun MWF at 9am. The SI instructor helps me a great deal as well, but I am not spending as much time as I need on this class. Did you say you took your CPR class already? If so where did you take it and how much was the class? did you take it online?

BTW one of my classmates gave me a website today to help me as well. I just need to do it you know what I mean. I wish I would have taken the biology option. lol

I don't know who she has but I think that might be the same teacher. Im going to lunch with her tomorrow so I will ask her! if she can help you out! She also applied to the nursing program @ clayton! I haven't taken the CPR class yet. If I get in I will probably take it next Wednesday or something. I found a place online http://www.gacpr.com/bls.html that is the website. The certificate we need is the BLS certificate and they charge only $50! It's at Dekalb Medical and they offer a bunch of different days/times!

Great. I will check out this website. Thanks for speaking with your friend. See you tomorrow in class. Take care

My friend received their waitlist letter today. So now I am really panicking..

i am terrified to check the mail! I feel sick to my stomach. I really need to calm down and breathe but I am so nervous.

Me too, where does your friend live? I live in Conyers. At least she is on the list right? Thats a good thing because not all that get accpeted attend right? How many people go to the wait list? Whats your friends stats? I am a nervous wreck?

Not exactly sure where she lives. I think 15 go to the waitlist based on what .... stated in the nursing seminar last week (70 interviewed and 55 accepted and 5 free slots for something else - not sure if she said they were for people that were waitlisted last semester). I can't remember her exact stats but they were competitive. I am beside myself right now.. I emailed my advisor yesterday and asked if I should be afraid to check the mail (just thought she would give me a hint or something) and she never responded.. :( I will try not to read into that but that just made me even more nervous.

I just need to know so I can stop worrying about it and can pass all of the classes that I am currently taking.
