Some background:
Early in December, I was calling all 6 of the schools I am applying for to double check that nothing had changed, and to see what the deadlines were. Well, when I called this school they said..."We have just decided to take 50 students for Spring 08" Yay! I was soo excited. This program is for ASN, well...I never heard anything and could not get anyone to return my calls, so I just figured I didn't get in. I went ahead and registered for 18 hours next semester so I can just apply for BSN admission. I called yesturday and they said they have not send any letters yet, but would be doing it in the next week or so...What?? I am supposed to pay my tuition for the other school by Jan. 3...I don't know what to do...
Any advice?

Can you pay your tuition at the school you are currently registered at, and then withdraw while still under the 100% refund timeframe if you find out you are accepted at the ADN program? That is a really stinky thing to do to make you wait SO long for your acceptance letters!!

I think VistaGirl is right. Wait until the last moment to pay your tuition for next semester, just in case you get The Letter before the tuition deadline. Then, if you have to, go ahead and pay the tuition so you don't lose your spots in those classes. If you get The Letter, you can request a 100% refund before the school's refund deadline. Most schools give a 100% refund within the first week of school, and by then you should know if you are In or Out at the nursing school. How horrible that they are making you wait until the last minute to find out if you made it!
