Has anyone gotten an email from Clackamas or PCC? I haven’t heard about any delays or emails for moving forward or declined.

Hi Maddiespell ?

I had 44 points , interviewed but was waitlisted for Clackamas CC this year.I think you’re definitely going to be competitive to get an interview next year , although it always depends on the applicant pool. I might be there again with you if I don’t get in somewhere this year (I was waitlisted at 3 programs ). Good luck to you and take care !

I know the applicant pool varies every year so you never know what your chances are! I’ll be rooting for you to get in somewhere I wish you the very best!

I think you’ll be golden. I had very similar points and had an interview/ offered a spot. I went with a different program just because of proximity but was very impressed by ccc! Good luck!

CONGRATS on getting into a school and being offered a spot! It’s good to hear that you were impressed by Clackamas. Thanks for the info ?

I am applying to PCC, CCC, OHSU, MHCC, and LCC this year. My top choice is PCC. I should have 47/58 points and I am trying to get an idea of what other people have as well. Any advice from anyone accepted last year? How many points did you have if you made it through phase 1? Thank you!

Hi Anna!

I applied last year to PCC but didn't get in ? I did get into the first round, just not the final! I had 52 out of 58. The more points, the better, as the first round is SOLELY based on points.  I attended an information session for PCC last week and they had stats for 2020. 368 students applied and only 100 got into the second round.. out of those 100, only 32 got offered a spot.
Also, the people invited into the second round had:

- average GPA of 3.76

- 75% had a previous degree

- 94% had some documented health care experience

- 89% had all prerequisite courses complete by the end of fall term

Made it to phase 2 at PCC and OHSU, but I really want to hear from Clackamas already! I know they said we'd be notified "At the end of the second week of April", but that email can't come soon enough.

Hi! I am applying this year and am curious what points people had last year who got to phase 2. Do you remember how many points you had at PCC?

thanks!

Hello! For those of you who made it to phase 2 for PCC last year, how many points did you have? I should have 47 this year,  but I’m trying to see what the average was for last year. I’ve seen a few people saying they had 50 points which is close to mine, but unsettling because 3 points makes all the difference.

Hi Anna,

Last year I had 48 points at PCC and made it into phase 2 , and this year I believe I should have 50 as there are 2 points given for being an alternate. I’m pretty certain 47 is competitive , I just don’t know what the cut off was to make it to phase 2 last year.  Some programs will list that information on their website. (MT.Hood let’s you know the minimum amount of points needed the year before to get invited to interview). Good luck . I really hope you get an invite.

That’s great to know! Thank you for the response, I appreciate that a lot. I hope you get an invite too! Hope to see you in school. Good luck.

Hey everyone!

I plan to apply next year to these schools. Does anyone have tips for the application process/ interviews/what to expect? I do not have a health certification and I am wondering if that is going to hold be back. I do have health care experience but the points for a certification seems like a lot and I'm wondering if its worth it to get my NA certificate during the Summer.

Thank you! Congrats to those who were offered a seat!!

Hi Jazmin,

I did not apply to clackamas, but did apply to PCC last year. While I did not get in, I did make it into the final round at PCC. PCC is purely point based for the first round! The higher the points, the better. So if you can, I would get the NA certificate ?

Has anybody received an email/update from Clackamas CC? The last thing I received from them was a receipt for my application. Getting anxious ?
