Hi everybody! I thought I could start a thread for those applying to UTHealth Cizik school of Nursing for Summer 25. Share stats and information as we hopefully get accepted!

Hello everyone I am very late but I also received the fingerprint email last Friday. I called and spoke to Crystal Alfonzi(I think thats how you spell it) and she said it's sent to everyone and its up to us if we want to make an appointment for it or wait to see if we got accepted. She said they are sending out the acceptances or denials is waves so hopefully we know soon. Has anyone who got accepted received the fingerprint email beforehand though?

that makes sense but its strange because myself (and others) who got rejected last application cycle never received any email regarding fingerprints/background check. so I guess its just a waiting game!

To my understanding not everyone got a fingerprint email!

Hi-  I recently found this text thread when I too received the Identigo email on Friday.  Just wanted to let you know that Civik reached out for some additional clarification today and when information was provided, they said my application is now under review.  I don't think everyone got the Identigo emails as I know a few others who applied who did not.

I am really hoping to get in this Summer.  I retired from a long career in corporate as an attorney December 2023 and spent the past year taking prerequisites.  I am hoping to have a second career as a nurse.  A bit unusual, but I feel very passionate about patient care and hope to be helpful. I'm 56 so may be the oldest student, but I plan to work a long time.  Good luck to everyone and I too am anxious with the waiting.
