Hi, I was wondering how my chances are getting into the nursing program for the spring 2017 semester. I have a 3.5 pre req gpa and A in a&p and a 90 on the teas. I know they mostly
look at gpa which is why I'm so nervous... I heard 3.5 is the cutoff. I got a B in eng comp but I got a 95 on the English portion on the teas so I was hoping that would better my chances. I'm really nervous!!! If anyone is in the program please give me your insight!!!
Did everyone purchase the Ebook package at the bookstore? I purchased the book on the sherpath site because they were sold out at the bookstore. The only thing is that it doesn't include wongs essentials for pediatric nursing. I found a paperback of it on Amazon and ordered it. Not sure if we need the ebook or not.
Hi MashaW,
At orientation they gave two papers out for CastleBranch. They're two different codes the first one gives you access to drug test and documents and the second one gives you access to the backgroud check. as for the Sherpath I just checked online at the bookstore website and it says it's in stock? Maybe you're able to return what you already bought and purchase it online, although I suggest calling bookstore and finding out if it is actually in stock. Maybe they're able to order directly from Sherpath.

thanks for the info! I couldn't make it to the orientation and they emailed me the paperwork, but I'm missing a few things. Can you please email me the code for the background check? [email protected]

Thanks for the override reminder.
I still think it is a safe bet to get certification from an AHA-approved site. The BLS for Healthcare Provider certification should not cost you more than $120.00; it should be around the $80.00 price range. The $290.00 price sounds like you're looking at advanced certifications, which we do not need at the moment.
I've seen employment or re-certification requirements at the big hospitals in NYC and all require that the certification be from a AHA-approved site. This is something to keep in mind in the future.
