Hi guys,

I applied to New York City College of Technology associate nursing program, and this waiting game is killing me. Did any of you apply ?

I'm currently taking microbiology for summer intersession, and I can't attend the nursing orientation on the 25th. Ughhh I'm so mad I begged my professor and everything but he said no. Especially since that will be our finals week and review. I hope the nursing dept staff is nice enough to sit with me and tell me evrything I missed. This really sucks! My prof said I could get a zero If I miss class.

I would try to take A+P 2 in the summer, unless your other class is not challenging. I'm going to register for the A+P 2 class they're giving from July 7-Aug 7 to get it out of the way. I did the first A+P in the summer session and that made it easier...

Micro is definitely not a class to miss ANYTHING! And yes, I would stop by the dept and make an appt to go thru that info with a nurse adviser. You want to be prepared. Or we could sit down if you had a free day and go thru it together (I take excellent notes, and know what questions to ask, not stupid stuff lol)

Check with the nursing dept before you decide to not attend for sure. Let them know you've finals. You need a valid reason to not attend the orientation ((which you have)) coz its absolutely mandatory. They arent just welcoming you or talkin abt the dept, they will give important info regarding , medical forms and anything & everything else you will need to submit to the nursing dept. before school starts. Check with the chairwoman to make sure. She's absolutely welcoming with an open-door policy. Don't assume they will be alright with you missing it.

Not BY orientation, they'll tell you what you need to bring when school starts. Most of it, is to submit to the clinical sites, thats what they tell us anyway.

Good morning ladies, I was wondering about the seat confirmation. The address is not a website, looks like it's a email address. DO I just put the NYCCT Fall 2015 in the subject, with my name in the main message saying confirming seat?

Hi everyone :) not sure if anyone still comes on here but just wondering ... I was the one with the below 2.5 overall GPA because of one class. I know that for the pre req classes, if you are currently taking any of them, they will look at the grades when they are completed towards the end of semester before making a decision, but what about if you're just taking classes to higher your overall GPA and you're done with the pre req classes already from before? Will they wait til the grades are out for non pre req classes?

Yes, they wait until the end of the semester to get the grades, whether it's a repeat class or not, they will be able to tell once they look at the application. good luck!
