City Tech Fall 2015 Nursing Program

Hi guys,

I applied to New York City College of Technology associate nursing program, and this waiting game is killing me. Did any of you apply ?

I applied as well. I hope we both get in!!

I applied to the Fall 2015 program too. I'm not sure how I did in Math 1275, waiting to see. I did well on the TEAS but I'm not confident in my GPA

I hope we all get in too! All my grades came in today, and I'm done with all their pre-requisites since I'm in liberal arts and sciences. This has to be the longest 2 weeks of my life!

@tenayathegreat I don't know what weighs more the teas score or our gpa? Ugh

@citygirl_95 I'm not sure either. From several people I spoke with I'm under the impression they look to see if you passed the TEAS and then go down based on GPA. If it gets close then they look at what you actually got on the TEAS. A man I spoke with at the department said they really look at the reading score on the TEAS because the program has so much reading, they want to make sure you have good comprehension. I got a 92 on the reading portion and passed with an 80. My GPA looks like it'll be 3.4. Math 1275=B, Psych= B+, ENG=A, and A+P=B+

@citygirl_95 did you take Math 1275 or are you sticking with the 1190? did you take the TEAS?

@tenayathegreat my gpa is 3.8. I took math1375 and got a B+ My overall teas score is 72% but I have a 66% in reading which sucks. You have a great Teas score!

@citygirl_95 Your scores sound great. A 72% is well above passing, and your GPA is great. yea, my TEAS score may be the only thing to help push me in. My GPA being in the low range worries me. I'm a little upset because I didn't do as well as I could have, but I'm optimistic as the nursing department said these years scores are relatively low and I should have nothing to worry about.

You really have nothing to worry about, were both nervous to get our letters. We got this!

Your right @citygirl_95, I'm such a scatter brain, lol, I know we're in...we just want the department to confirm what we already know. We must have patience (easier said than done)

Hey guys, I also applied for Fall 15, so we are all on the same boat and waiting! !!

They probably only got to weeding out a few applicants, we'll be waiting for another 2 weeks = (

I'll just be happy to see my acceptance letter, worth the wait, lol
