May 24, 201511 yr Hi guys, I applied to New York City College of Technology associate nursing program, and this waiting game is killing me. Did any of you apply ?
May 28, 201511 yr how do you guys ask someone from the nursing dept to see if your grades are good enough ? do you show them your grades or just tell them
May 28, 201511 yr @chloezy23 They received all the grades by now so you can just call and speak to the receptionist, everything passes her desk so she'll know. She gets the TEAS scores as well, so she may know those too. It depends on the pool of applicants, so knowing what most people had will tell you if your application is good
May 29, 201511 yr @Chloezy23, you can speak to the prenursing advisor and she lets you know more or Less where you stand... the department doesn't see any applicants only students that are IN the program, they will literally SHOOO YOU AWAY
May 29, 201511 yr thanks guys ! i'll probably just wait ... i mean whatever we get is what it is. do you mind telling what your pre req gpa is?
May 29, 201511 yr checking allnurses is pretty distracting & interesting. i find myself checking posts on here while working lol someone mentioned there is an allnurses app too
May 29, 201511 yr @chloezy23 Your sooooo right. Older post are better. You can see what other prospects had grade wise and forward a few pages to see who got accepted with what grades. You can also see when they started getting their letters. I looked at last years fall applicants and they started getting acceptance letters around June 4th, lol, addicting. I won't get the app because I'd LIVE on this site, lol
May 30, 201511 yr Author I took math 1190 (during my freshmen yr), math 1275, and math 1375 lol. I took math 1375 because I needed to be full time in order to get financial aid, that class was a headache.
May 31, 201511 yr Author Yea, I was going through my old texts and last year my friend got in for the fall 2014 semester on June 5. So we should be getting our letters next week.
Jun 1, 201511 yr So excited to get my acceptance (optimistic). My pre-req GPA isn't so high, but I did really well on the TEAS, so I hope that helps....
Jun 2, 201511 yr Did anyone speak to the department. I'm afraid they know my voice already from asking all kinds of miscellaneous questions = ) I wonder if they mailed out letters? Last year (fall 2014), they started on the June 2 and our semester ended earlier this year. I'm such an anxious person, lol, I just want to know....
